Pak Pao is a Thai restaurant located in Dallas, Texas. Designed by Coeval Studio, their approach to the Pak Pao concept was to create an energetic space that features authentic Thai cuisine and culture in the heart of the Dallas Design District. From the space design to the interiors and brand, everything was chosen mindfully to create a perfect harmony. As soon as a guest steps inside, they are greeted by a Thai relief sculpture of a Buddha welcoming them to the space. With a limited area of only 1,300 square feet, a 20-foot expo kitchen was put in place to allow guests to see the full action of the kitchen from the intimately seated, cozy dining room. The large expo window allows the dining room to be infused with the sights, sounds and energy of the kitchen, which merge with high-volume, upbeat music to create a lively and dynamic atmosphere. Traditional handmade Pak Pao and Chula kites imported from Thailand fly playfully above the main dining area. Custom blended woods and rich textures add warmth and visual interest for guests to enjoy. The rich black and gold damask-patterned wall at the back of the bar lures guests to the bar area, where a large Thai tree root doubles as a light fixture and art piece. Amidst the excitement, three cloud white Buddha statues float serenely along a white wall inviting guests to the Pak Pao experience.
